In the 4th grade, I earned a young authors conference prize for writing a humpy, bumpy, lumpy tale of how our mountains came to be. Greek goddesses and Seuss books inspired my hand-illustrated 10 pages, and my love for writing took root. More than 20 years later, I've still got an active imagination, but as a freelance writer, my words are strung together within the structure of press release boilerplates and feature article word counts. I help small business owners advance their marketing aims through writing up their successes in press releases, web content, newsletters, feature articles, etc. For newspapers and magazines, I accept feature story assignments and display the character of local communities through profiling their notable individuals and events.
